Day 1. - Quito – Chiriboga - Alluriquin
Departure 07:30 a.m heading south of Quito. The ritual of getting ready (safety briefing, bikes and safety protection) is only witnessed by the weather with its "paramo's" temperature and the terrific view of the Andean Range going down to the Pacific Ocean. The 60-Km we'll cycle down is unique. There will be no traffic and trails are great. These trails are abandoned because a new and shorter road to "La Costa" was built years ago.
While we will be descending, temperature and humidity will increase. Then, all of a sudden, we will be crossing the cloud forest. Every time we will stop to take a break, we will watch a variety of birds and a wonderful scenery. After lunch the guide, a river and the waterfalls will be our only company. We'll descend more than 2.000 Mts. on incredible trails... and believe it will be fantastic".
