BIKING 2D ILINIZA & COTOPAXI
Day 1 -. Quito - Ilinizas
After breakfast, a hour drive to Pastocalle, located in the western Andean region on the slopes of Ilinizas. The Illinizas picks is the place where rivers are born to end in the Pacific Ocean. Our cycling point 3.900mts finishing at 2.900mt. We will start pedaling through the wilderness, on a dirt road that crosses the valley and reaches El Chaupi a small town.
During the tour you will enjoy wonderful views of: Corazon, Ilinizas; north and south, Sincholahua and other surrounding volcanoes. Our adventure will start on the base of the Illinizas then we'll continue cycling along the old railroad going through some train stations, farmland and small colonial towns, lunch on the way. Dinner and overnight El Chaupi.

Día 2 -. El Chaupi - Cotopaxi
Departure after breakfast 08:30a.m we'll drive on the Pan-American Highway heading to Cotopaxi National Park. As we cross the Avenue of the Volcanoes we'll enjoy beautiful landscapes characteristic of the Andean Region as well as some snowy peaks as: Pasochoa, Rumiñahui, Illinizas North and South, etc.
Biking starts + - at 10:00 a.m 4.600mts. We'll have a short chat about the equipment and basic techniques for the descent then we'll begin descending to some Pre-Inca ruins at Salitre (15 km walk + -) here we'll enjoy lunch. After lunch and a break we continue our journey through the north face of Cotopaxi National Park to reach El Pedregal (15km + -) on the way you can see wild horses, llamas and maybe a couple of foxes. The program will finish around 16:00. Return to Quito
